Artist Statement
When I first started creating art, it was with the intent to connect with my friends as we made our own characters and worlds that were interlinked with each other. At first, I only had access to the basics of art that anyone can do: A sketchbook and a handful of pencils. I would start the class day with sharing my sketchbook with my friends, showing off any new artworks made, cheering each other on. After I lost contact with them due to changing schools, I still continued to develop my own world and story, even if I couldn’t continue it with them. Eventually, my artistic methods developed to more mediums: handmade props, stitching together makeshift cosplays, etc. It was around this time that my motivations for art shifted from partaking in creation with friends to creating for what I want.
My website is a culmination of the different approaches to art that I have picked up over the years. From the development of my online artist identity to works related to my most beloved characters, my artworks represent what I consider the best of me.
I still create my work today with good memories imbued into them, from hobbies that have strengthened my friendships with my cherished people, and to also make myself happy at the final results.
